This jacket gives a hats off to the iconic 1950's style worn by veteran WWII English soldiers. Those speed-freak daredevils started the whole "Café Racer" movement and needed a jacket which was both durable and slick.
What's the difference between Split and Naked Leather?
This refers to the portion of the leather. All leather hides have to be split because a hide is too thick to upholster or use in any type of manufacturing.
The hide goes into a machine where a blade 'splits' it into two layers. The bottom layer is known as Split Leather. And the top portion of the above process is known as Top Grain Leather.
When the Top Grain Leather is of great quality and doesn't take any visual correction to the grain, it's known as " Naked"
Both are Cowhide Leather and both are 1.3mm thick. Naked is a bit softer and has all natural grain, which is why it's got a higher value
I got a big beer belly - how do I choose my size?
If your belly (like mine) is a beer tank and has thousands upon thousands of invested dollars worth of beer in it, then consider that measurement instead of your chest to choose your correct jacket.
Should I wear this when it's hot?
Yeah, always wear your gear. Besides, this jacket has vents and a zip out lining which will make it cooler.
When you have vents on your jacket, and they're well made, they provide you with proper air flow which will actually cool your body down more than if you were taking sun directly to your skin.
